A sweet yet tragic image of Christian lovers buried

The following image was taken in Holland and is of the gravestones of a Protestant woman and her Catholic husband.

The husband was buried in Catholic soil, and the wife in ‘non-sacred’ ground.

    Sweet, tragic yes, but also absurd, comical and ridiculous. It does raise the question of what is or should be ‘sacred’ though.

    According to this link the faiths are the other way round and the graves are actually in their respective religions sections of the same cemetry. http://www.arnobrosi.com/c/cemphoto53.html
