@Ed Miliband ‘I am…a person of faith’
An atheistic sop to the ageing British demographic that is looking for something to have faith in whilst they soul search as they move closer to the final reckoning.

@Ed Miliband ‘I am…a person of faith’
Quote of the day: ‘I feel sorry for people who have a religious belief – in their hearts of hearts, they must realise all religion is a load of rubbish…’
Said to me this morning, during a meeting with an 87 year old woman (white, working class) who has end stage endometrial cancer and I was just asking about religious belief as part of my initial assessment…. A lovely woman, by the way: pillar of the local community, big voluntary worker, lovely, caring family and someone who has refused further treatment (sensible in my view). She warmed the cockles of my heart and I am looking forward to working with her.
