A reader comments.

Some of the following comment by “Greg” has been redacted as it named certain individuals for opprobrium:

Absolutely delighted that you will not be converting to Catholicism. Anyone who holds your views should stay well away. You are arrogant, patronising, devisive, cruel and thoughtless . Not even a convert and you readily lectured the Catholic world on how we should live our lives and conduct ourselves in the faith.

You stay where you belong in the Cof E, more Pharisee’s we don’t need.

Feel the love….

    How how lovely *sigh*

Never mind, Stuart. Tis all grist to the mill after all. It takes a less than pure heart to have to resort to this. You are wanted wherever you land.

As I said, the snides are far fewer than the real Catholics. And as has been said before, The Catholic Church is like a swimming pool, all the noise comes from the shallow end.

At least it’s not a sock puppet but an actual ‘arse’ who’s bothered by your position.

  3. Spambot3049 Says:

Jesus calls for all to be part of one Church (Jn 17:20-26, for example). Pope Benedict wrote in depth about it in “Dominus Iesus”, yet that one commenter feels it necessary to push Christians further apart. It just feeds into the stereotype that good people of faith are prone to war with other good people of faith.

It makes me wonder why I bother with ecumenicism, and the Churches Together movement, then I remember the wonderful people I meet. The gregs of this world always existed, the interweb simply allows them the deluded idea their views are important.

Jaw-dropping. So sorry Stuart, don’t listen to that. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World and He died for every single one of us.

  6. Patricia Says:

What a very unchristian comment. Why is there an apostrophe in Pharisee’s ?

  7. Simon Says:

Hm. An arrogant, patronising, “devisive”, cruel and thoughtless comment accusing you of the same. Would that be hypocrisy, by any chance?

  8. Tony Flavin Says:

You know the guy then Simon?

  9. Simon Says:

Beyond the comment above, not so far as I am aware, Tony.

    (Feeling like I’ve missed something…)
