eChurchBlog on Pinterest
Spent a little time playing with Pinterest today and now have my own account. I had to request an invitation, but once received you simply link your Facebook or Twitter account - Twitter in my case – which automatically pulls in the relevant information, including your avatar.
Pinterest seems to work on the basis that you ‘pin’ online images you like to your account. Folk can then find these images by using the search facility. You can also comment under images and ‘like’ or ‘repin’ images you think are cool.
You discover folk to follow and hopefully they’ll follow back and through this networking, images get shared with one another.
So far so good.
Pinterest continues increasing in popularity and I’ve read it has the potential to drive traffic to blogs, as the images ‘pinned’ retain the original URL location from whence they originated, allowing users to view your blog by clicking on the image.
I would add the ‘pin it’ button to my blog posts but as some have noted there’s something of a paucity of images on this blog, due to a mixture of both profound laziness and being a text monster……
Let me know if you have an account and have had a chance to play and how you found it. I’ve only just started messing around and so any tips from seasoned players welcomed.
I Hope it’s gonna be more exciting than Google+ which thus far has been an anti-climax, but ultimately the jury is still out and time will tell…
UPDATE: I’ve popped a little Pinterest icon on the top left for those interested.

I’m not joining Pinterest and then putting a pic of myself up! You any idea how many computers will break down? How many people will be found huddled in corners behaving like gibbering wrecks? How many children will run screaming into their parents arms and never touch a computer again?…actually that last one isn’t such a bad idea.
Actually, I nearly started blogging again yesterday. But I couldn’t think of a name for it so I didn’t.
