‘The Deacon’s Bench’ – that is one very interesting blog Webmaster. I especially enjoyed his blog on William Hamilton – ‘scholar know for ‘Is God Dead?’ dies’. A fascinating article – I remember the Time cover article well and it gave me a very slight grounding and introduction to historical Jesus studies back in ’66. I had already read Schweitzer’s ‘Quest’ and was beginning to look around a bit as a young Christian who realised he did not have all the answers. I like the Deacon’s gentle approach on Hamilton.
Forty-six years on . . . at least I came to know Jesus a great deal better than before ’66 and was not stifled by my fundamentalist background after that.
