Quote of the Day
A molecular biologist friend of mine in Cambridge once told me that the saddest aspect of the work of people like Daniel Dennett and Richard Dawkins was the way they identified evolution with atheist materialism.
The result, among those Christians, Muslims and others who had little understanding of science, was inevitable: reject Darwinian evolution altogether.

Bang on.
If those who talk about evolution incessantly really gave a damn about science in general and evolution in particular, they wouldn’t try to abuse it as a lever for atheistic propaganda. Those who care about something try to lead people to love it, not beat them over the head with it or jeer “this proves your religion is wrong”. What better formula for rejection than the latter could be imagined?

Agreed – very sad.
