Good morning, my brother. At least…it is morning here. Hope you’re having a blessed day…and thanks for the linky love. :-)

  2. Jill Says:

I am very glad to see that you are following Lisa’s blog, webmaster. Far more suitable than the faith-sapping Ekklesia.

  3. Webmaster Says:

You’re dead right Jill. I’m on a journey of discovery in the Catholic world and I’m loving it! It’s sound and strong and certain and fearless.

  4. Stacy @ Accepting Abundance Says:

Thank you! Reading your links during lunch…nice assortment.

  5. Webmaster Says:

@Stacy thanks, I like to mix up, keeps it interesting and it’s a chance for folk to get to know about each other.

Regarding the attacks on the Copts: we must not allow al Qaeda to create an even deeper rift between moderate Christian and Muslim – which certainly appears to be their intended goal. We need always to remember to discriminate between the good and the bad, and not to tar all with the same brush.
Isn’t it ironic that Christians, who enjoyed religious freedom in Iraq before Saddam Hussein was toppled, have felt increasingly vulnerable, and have been leaving Iraq in great numbers since then. Things are seldom as simple as they seem.

  7. Lisa Graas Says:

Muslims are human beings deserving of all the same protections for human dignity we give to others. Islam is an evil political system wedded to a religion. Pretending that “moderate Islam” is something “good” is the argument of a person out of touch with reality.

    I recommend “What Islam Isn’t”.

I don’t disagee Lisa, and I would love to see a World without the destructive force of some religions. The reality is that there is a difference between Muslim extremists and Muslim moderates. If we can’t rid the World of Islam then we should at least do everything in ur power to encourage more moderate Muslims to disown their extremists. Of course I don’t underestimate the task, but let’s not give up before we’ve started.
One small ray of hope – As the Christian Copts celebrate on Christmas Eve there are moderate Muslims outside the Church in Alexandria demonstrating their solidarity with their Christian countrymen against the extremists.

  9. Lisa Graas Says:

That is wonderful, but while you worry about al Qaeda creating a deeper rift (as I do) we must also be careful not to hold up anti-Semites as heroes because they are defending Christians. These same people would cheer if Iran nuked Israel because of anti-Semitism. Just know what you’re dealing with in this very complicated situation.

  10. Goy Says:

Interesting the “al-Qa’ida” nuance jihad shift from Western decadence to Christians.

  11. Goy Says:

“The militant Muslim is the person cutting the head of the infidel while the moderate Muslim holds the victims feet.”
