This reminds me of a serious story. One of my brothers was nearly sucked into the Moonies during his irst year at university. My paretns were at their wit’s end. What saved the day was the Moonies’ vehement rejection of the idea of animal souls. For my brother, who adored our cat, this was the killer. No cat souls = no Moony conversion. Hurray!

Hurray indeed! And the Jehovah Witnesses wouldn’t have because I smoked. Smoking saved my life
