This is the strangest non-event ever. If our church leaders aren't allowed to speak to God then we truly are alone. I mean - if a whole load of Simon Cowell's mates got together at a party thrown in his honour and someone suggested that they speak to the star of the evening - would we find that odd? Tell you what - if we are going to get rid of prayer - why not just get rid of any of the trappings of our faith. I mean is the cross strangely challenging too? It is after all a symbol of execution and torture and should have an age restriction on it. And holy communion? Well I wouldn't want to offend any faiths who frowned upon wine. So let's get rid of that too. What is the world comming to?
