The author of this blog suffers from very poor reading comprehension skills. The "Respect for Marriage Act" DOES NOT in any way, force any state or religious institution to do anything. It does not redefine anything. It removes a discriminatory definition that is currently in place. The entire bill is only 22 lines long, and does not make use of any special language. I encourage all readers to read it for themselves, and reject the tilted interpretations of those who profit from lies and the spread of fear and hatred. The Library of Congress website is www.loc.gov. Visit it and search for HR 3567.
