Rev Kevin Logan – Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Christian Peoples Alliance for Hyndburn

IT’S TIME FOR CHANGE – WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

This is an invitation to come and join me for an hour or so on September 13th and help change our town and our nation.

Politicians lining their pockets and bending rules are usually the identifying marks of Third World tin-pot dictators and banana republics, and Britain has been brought perilously close to sharing this humiliation thanks to our leaders.

Buying first homes for their ducks, profiting with third and fourth homes for themselves, and all at our expense, was bad enough. Then, despite weeks of condemnation, MPs defiantly doubled their expenses without receipts before vanishing for the long summer holiday.

The main political parties and all members of Parliament have looked the other way, or become actively involved in the shocking expense scandal, and this and other sleaze involving our top people shows that society is in desperate need of change – and quickly.

There is hope that this can happen when good men and women like you are prepared to stand up and give time, talents, resources and especially votes in protest. Dishonesty and evil can only succeed if we stay quiet.

This is why I’m planning to stand as Parliamentary Candidate for Hyndburn at the next General Election, hopefully on behalf of the Christian Peoples Alliance (www.cpaparty.org.uk). This is why I am now writing to ask you to prayerfully consider joining me in September as we launch a Fighting Election Force to recapture what we have lost – our Christian heritage.

British values have been dumped by our leaders. Those in politics think nothing of misusing our hard-earned taxes to fund wayward lifestyles, and those in banking, business and commerce seem ever willing to gamble our equally hard-earned bank savings and future prosperity on schemes with outlandish-odds.

They do this because they have lost the rich and wonderful Christian heritage that once made us Great Britain. They have sacked God and his standards on every level of society, causing us to slide down into the minor league of ‘also-ran’ nations. They don’t pay the high price. We do – and the time has come for change.

With so many of us sick and tired of party politicians, never has there been a better time to be heard and supported by the weary public. We can make a difference at the forthcoming General Election.

Please spend time thinking about this invitation? If it feels right, let me know if you can come to our first planning meeting on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm at St. James’ Resource Centre, on Cannon Street, Accrington, opposite St. James’ Church.

Come if you can and hear and see what we can do together to bring about change.

If you have any questions or comments, please email me as I need to hear your views. Kevin-logan@sky.com
